Australian Bank ADRs !!

Australia is a great country blessed with plenty of natural resources. The economy benefits from Australia’s links to other Asian countries such as China, Singapore, India, etc.

Listed below are the four Australian bank stocks that are available in the US as ADRs:

1. Australia and New Zealand Banking – ANZBY
Has over 1200 branches in Australia, NZ and other countries.Pays a dividend of about 5.2% and over $40B market cap.PE is about 12.

2. National Australia Bank – NABZY
Largest bank in Australia with a 5.9% yield and over $44B market cap.PE is about 12.

3. Westpac Banking – WBK

Has a dividend yield of 5.49% and a market cap. of $39B.YTD the stock is down some 13%.

4. St.George Bank – STGKY
This is a thinly traded stock.YTD the stock is down some 17%.

Foreign stock with Monthly Dividend !!

Banco Itau Holding Financeira S.A.- ITU is the second largest private sector bank. This bank is one of the few ADRs that give a monthly dividend. ITU provides a monthly dividend of $0.0067 per share.

Though this monthly dividend is a very small amount it still matters since dividends come from profit.Apart from this, ITU provides an annual dividend which is about $0.33 per share.The stock had a 2:1 split a few months ago and now trades for $22+.

Incidentally,
Yesterday the company announced that net profit jumped 58% for the 4th Qtr.

Argentina is a beautiful country that is recovering from a recent economic crash. She has the most European population among all the South and Latin American countries.

1. Banco Marco – BMA
This bank was founded in 1966 and has a market cap of just over $15B. The stock has fallen from over $39 to about $22 now. The bank announced a share repurchase program back in January.Has a decent dividend yield of 2%+.

2.Petrobras Energia – PZE
This is an oil company and is a subsidiary of Petrobras (PBR) of Brazil. Recently the stock crashed bigtime from $17 after a mixup by the CNBC TV channel. But is still a good value play around $10+ range in the energy sector.

3.Tenaris – TS
Makes steel pipes and tubes

4.BBVA Banco Frances S.A.- BFR
This bank trades fro abour $7+ and has a market cap of over $1B.

5. Edenor SA – EDN
Edenor is an electricity distributor serving over 2 Million customers.
