Akzo Nobel ADR Split

Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based Akzo Nobel(AKZOY) is the world’s largest paint and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals. The company’s portfolio includes Dulux, Sikkens, International and Eka brands.

Last year the company had a total revenue of 14.6 billion Euros with North America and Europe accounting for about 60% of the sales .

On Jan 3rd, 2012 the ADR closed at $50.25. Yesterday Akzo Nobel(AKZOY) implemented a 3:1 stock split on its ADR. As a result of this split, the ADR opened at $16.59 and closed the day at $16.55.

  1. How can I find cost basis for Akzo Nobel stock purchase on 8-1-1995..from Firstar Investment services?

  2. Well.That will be a challenge but can be done.Here are your options:
    1.Your Cost Basis for the purchase of Akzo Nobel can ** only ** come from the broker Firstar. So contact them and ask for this info.If they have good record keeping dept. they should be able to help you.

    2.To get the general price trading on that day you can do this: Akzo delisted from NASDAQ in 2007.So use Yahoo Finance or other sources online to find the price on that day.
