    could someone tell me what difference between a start up registered in the US, with R&D facility in Israel, and a start up registered in israel, regarding a listing at Nasdaq.

26. James – I do not know the answer to your question. Probably the listing process page on the NASDAQ site may have the answer. I think if the firm is registered in the US but has R&D facility in Israel, it would be listed as a US company. If it is registered in Israel it will go as a non-US listing. Thanks.

    Is there any way of purchasing an Israeli stock that is not traded on the nasdaq or nyse? I am interested in MIFT, Millennium Food Group trading on Tel Aviv stock exchange.

34. Hi Lorne – Sorry for the delay. Yes you can buy thru brokers that allow trading of foreign stocks in their local markets. For example, you can buy this Israeli stock via the Schwab Global account. You have to call their Schwab Global Investing Services desk to place the order. You cannot place orders online for Israel stocks. Other brokers may offer similar service as well. Of course, you have to pay commission, foreign exchange fees, etc.

    It is just another ETF. You should be able to buy it at any broker that allows trading of stocks, ETFs, etc. Thanks.

38. Scentech Medical does not seem to be publicly listed now. So no stock symbol exists.

    Their site says “Scentech Medical, is currently in the process of merging with NextGen BioMed (TASE:NXGN), a public company listed on the Tel Avi Stock Exchange (TASE) in Israel.”
