Mining is one of the important industries that is necessary of the functioning of the global economy. Though establishing a mine and running it takes years and years, Ontario Mining Association notes that mining is a temporary land use activity. Though land can be returned to its natural state after mining it is not that simple as it depends on the type of mining done and regulations and so forth.
