Brazil is one of the top energy player in the world. The country ranks 9th in the world in oil and gas production. In terms of electricity generation, Brazil is a top producer renewable energy. Hydro accounts for 82% of Brazilian electricity generation. So much electricity is generated after domestic consumption, the surplus is exported to neighboring countries.
